We’re seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer eager to introduce Pulumi’s cloud programming model globally, contributing to our vision of empowering every developer with cloud capabilities.
As part of the Cloud Engineering Platform (CEP) team, you’ll enhance platform engineering productivity, offering self-service capabilities and automated infrastructure operations to expedite application delivery and enhance developer experience. Our team focuses on various projects, including Pulumi ESC to manage configuration complexity, Pulumi Deployments for continuous infrastructure delivery, and Pulumi Insights for infrastructure understanding.

In this role, you’ll:
- Collaborate with the team and PMs to clarify requirements.
- Design simple, cost-effective solutions for features, ensuring security, scalability, and performance across cloud and self-hosted environments.
- Code across our full stack (Angular/Typescript, Nodejs, Golang for API development).
- Enable our SDK and providers to enable Pulumi Cloud functionality in multiple languages.
- Participate in code and design reviews.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys coding to solve customer problems and clarifies ambiguity.
- Is proficient in modern cloud-based systems architecture and distributed systems.
- Exhibits systematic problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and good design sensibilities.
- Has strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Compensation includes a base salary hiring range of $166-$209,000, along with additional benefits like health, time off, 401K, parental leave, and remote-first work culture.
